REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2005--Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS - News) announced today that The Sims(TM) 2 Nightlife is under development from Maxis(TM) studio, the creators of the widely popular franchise, The Sims(TM). This is the second expansion pack for The Sims(TM) 2 which took the world by storm in September 2004 by becoming the fastest selling PC game of all time and has sold over 4.5M units worldwide to date. With The Sims 2 Nightlife, players will be able to take their Sims out to hit all the swanky hot spots in the all new downtown location and spice up their lives with an all new dating gameplay and a new life goal focused on pleasure seeking.
The Sims 2 Nightlife takes Sims into the night to explore all of their favorite after-dark activities. Players can either head out and discover their love lives or have a crazy night out with friends. With the new dating gameplay, players will see if their Sims have chemistry with others which will determine their romantic fate. The newest addition to the game includes the brand new pleasure seeker aspiration allowing players to explore a life filled with unforgettable dates, endless nights of dancing and fine dining. Make your Sims nightlife fantasy a reality with over 125 new objects including a DJ booth, poker table and all you need to design the ultimate nightclub and VIP lounge.
"Sims fans have always wanted to take their Sims out of their homes," said Tim LeTourneau, Sr. Producer. "Now with The Sims 2 Nightlife, players will be able to take their Sims out of the suburbs and into the night while dating, hanging out on the town and staying up till dawn at all the hottest spots around town."
The Sims 2 Nightlife is scheduled to ship under the EA GAMES(TM) brand in the Fall of 2005. The Sims 2 is required to play The Sims 2 Nightlife.

Posts: | i was REALLY excited about the sims 2 finally coming out!!!!...but...its not that fun anymore..i mean, it gets really boring after a while. i guess i just dont like the fact that you cant delete a sim and click on them to make them all refreshed or anything, cuz now if you delete them they just dissapear...and i never have enough time to improve my skills for work or study for school because im so busy trying to fulfill their wants and needs and hunger and EVERYTHING!! OH MY GOSH!! its not fun because it seems like ALL your doing is woring and the sims never get time to do stuff you would want them to,...i dont know i just wish you guys wouldnt have made them have "wants" and "fears" or whatever....oh and they age way too fast in my oppinion |

" dont make me laugh, its a computer game not a kiddies fun game. this is supposed to be a challenge, and challenges are fun! dont bother with wants and fears if you dont want but all you are doing is missing out half of the game cos aspirration points unlock stuff like money trees and elixer of life n that. Hey! "oh and they age way too fast in my oppinion" elixer of life gives them a bit of a longer life lol. oh and uninstall it and sell it or sumthing cos its wasted on you cos you dont understand it do you. I luv it and cant wait till nightlife comes out peepz!!!

Posts: | WHOEVER SAYS THE SIMS 2 SUCKS is totally right...i loved it when i first got the game but now it i soooo boring coz there is nothing left to do.....for that reason i cant wait for 'nightlife'to come out. I hope it doesnt get as boring as the first expansion pack did after i had been playing it for a while. And by the way, u can download hacks and stuff that make your sims moods and aspiration be maxed. They make the game fun for a little while when u enjoy all the rewards but u shouldnt use them because then u will have nothing left to look forward to. |
